One of the most revered brands in the automotive industry, Beissbarth, is back in Australia and available through the Repco Equipment team.
Established in Munich, Bavaria, in 1899 to build car bodies and chassis, the Beissbarth company claims many firsts, including:
- The first driver’s license issued in Germany to Daniel Beissbarth in 1899
- The world’s first number plate, the number 1 on the Beissbarth’s car
- The first Mercedes chassis, “the Mercedes Knight”, named after Gottlieb Daimler’s daughter.
Following World War 2, the company branched out into the design and manufacture of automotive wheel changing, balancing and alignment systems. In 1951, the company developed its first automotive tyre changer, considered revolutionary at the time by mechanising many previously manual tasks.
Progress continued through into the next millennium with Beissbarth introducing the world’s first Touchless Wheel Aligner in 2006.
Beissbarth has continued to innovate and their latest range of wheel service systems is now available through Repco in Australia.
With a modern manufacturing facility in Italy employing more than 200 dedicated staff, backed by a global research and development team, all products are created in close collaboration with the automotive aftermarket and major vehicle manufacturers.
