Brake Servicing Made Easy

Protex provides the trade with a specialist range of high-performance brake components, covering the entire braking system and most vehicle applications.

With more than 30 years of experience, Protex provides all components required to service the entire braking system.

A major part of Protex’s braking line-up is rotors. Rotors are one of the main components of a vehicle’s braking system, and important for playing a critical role in minimising stopping distance. All Protex core range of rotors are coated with the company’s exclusive Ultracoat Z360 formula, which prevents corrosion.

WHAT IS ULTRACOAT Z360?
The Protex Ultracoat Z360 coating is water-based, chromium-free, with zinc and aluminium. It is applied over the whole disc rotor, offering total protection against rust and corrosion, allowing for optimal performance and significantly improving the appearance of your rotor.

Importantly, this coating is designed to be worn as it comes into contact with the brake pad and will be removed by the normal operation of the disc brake system. The coating that remains will continue to protect the hub, vanes, and rotor edges.

ROTORS TO SUIT MANY DRIVING CONDITIONS
Protex has a large range of coated rotors, with a line-up that covers all driving conditions.

Ultra: Everyday Advanced braking – general purpose range to suit most vehicles

Designed to suit most vehicles on Australia’s roads, this precision-balanced rotor has a durable cast iron composition and multiple vane designs to suit different vehicles.

Ultra Performance: Ultimate braking Upgrade – for drivers and enthusiasts with a focus on performance

Made from high carbon cast iron material, this rotor offers better thermal stability, quieter braking, and high performance in challenging driving conditions. Slotted, drilled, and various vane options are available for better cooling at high braking options.

Ultra 4WD: Heavy-duty range for 4WD, SUV, and demanding off-road conditions

Ultra 4WD rotors are precision balanced with a ground finish and high-carbon composition. This versatile rotor is built to withstand demanding off-road conditions as well as towing and heavy-duty use, while also being suitable for everyday driving.

This specialised rotor features a custom 6-slot design offering increased stopping power and resistance to pad glazing.
