1965 AMERICAN MOTORS RAMBLER CLASSIC 660 Cross Country Wagon

Built at AMI Port Melbourne, one of only 185 in 1965, this American/Australian beauty was discovered, unrestored, in Adelaide S.A. In 2009 and driven home to Qld., by the current owner.

In 2010, a complete body restoration was completed by Pebble Beach award winning Sleeping Beauties of Brisbane.

All rust was removed and a stunning duotone refinish resulted in a white over blue body which is nicely offset, in true AMC Tri-colour style, by the original interior red trim.

Over the years mechanical upgrades culminating in a 2022 complete engine overhaul by Garry and Mark Hammond of Capalaba have now resulted in this wagon being an effortless highway cruiser.

The car was last displayed at the 2023 RACQ Motorfest and personalised plates, subject to state law usage, are included in the sale.
