Description

I have about $ 135`000.- in the car including purchase price 3 years ago, including all the restorations done to it since.

Am looking to get my money out, so the price is ONO, pls no tire kickers.

Not 340 Kw, the engine puts out 340 HP.

Only travelled 125`000 km. I see other Corvettes advertised at 100 Km, which most probably means, 100Km since restoration, under these conditions, namely, post restoration, this car has about 6`000 to 7`000 Km, but that`s not the reality of the Km stand.

I have used the car as a near daily driver, she starts perfectly, drives perfectly.

Speaking of 1960`s muscle car, this Lady will scare the lesser drivers, the torque is unreal, wet weather is not a good idea with this amount of power in a 1960`s chassis with skinny wheels, lol.

Sold as Matching Numbers.

No visible marks of accident on the chassis.

The car is original and untampered with.

Original colour inside and outside.

Original carburettor.

Carpets could be a second generation, maybe not, I don`t know.

The paint colour is Riverside Red, done new some 25 years ago when the car was imported into Australia.

ORIGINAL EVERYTHING, INCLUDING THE LIST BELOW OF MAJOR REPAIRS / RESTORATIONS :

In the past 3 years, I have done the following, New engine ( Complete rebuild ) with soft cams, (That`s plenty of power), New break lines and break booster, New electrical wiring, New hood, New " White Wall Tires ".

Sold with a fully restored spare engine block, that is the original block.

When I bought the car, it had a 305 engine in it, because the last owner had a hairline crack in one of the cylinders of the original block, currently the engine block in the car is from an Impala, ( Exactly the same block as the corvette ), with all the ancillaries and original Corvette internal parts, I actually like the idea of keeping the original block on the side, without the guilty feeling of putting Km`s on the original block.

IMPERFECTIONS :

The seat surfaces cracking, I prefer to show these as they are, tampering with them would compromise the originality of the car, it is possible to buy new linings in the US, correctly priced ( See Eckler`s website )

I haven`t done any surface clean on the chromes, these could be improved easily, can do it for an inspection.

The rear gear is hard to put in, I think it`s a simple leaver adjustment problem.

When the car is cold, there is a noise in the clutch, probably also a simple lever adjustment problem, when warm the noise is gone.

There is a leak in the battery, best solution is to put a "Kill Switch" under the dash board, there is one there at the moment, but not hooked up.

The dash board is good, but the fuel gauge is reverse, which means " Full " is in fact " Empty ", lol.

Enzo Ferrari said that the E Type Jaguar was the most beautiful car in the sixties, he is wrong, the C2 Corvette is pure art, perfectly proportioned and gorgeous lines.
