Description
For sale is a 3 owner factory RHD Fisher bodied 1968 Chevrolet Impala originally the personal car for the dealer principal of Manley Stanwell Holden of Albany, Western Australia. An all matching numbers 327 cui V8, the Chevy features the factory 2 speed Powerglide automatic and has covered a genuine 81,464 miles from new. The motor has never been removed from the car and the compliance plates have never been removed and the motor and running gear have been maintained as required.
The Chev is fitted with under dash A/C that was originally fitted by the dealership. The system is fully intact with belt removed but does need re-gassing. The Impala is also fitted with factory power steering and power aerial.
The Chev was restored by the second owner in the mid 1990s in the original paint combination of Platinum Metallic with a Kashmir White roof. The Impala still presents in excellent condition with minor blemishes only. As the original dealer principal was a pipe smoker, the interior was refurbished with new seat vinyl, hood lining and carpets imported from the USA. The Chev is supplied with a folder of invoices dating back to the 1990s.
The current owner purchased the Chevy in 2002 and has serviced the Impala regularly and used it sparingly. Always garaged and not driven in the rain or on dirt roads.
The Chevy is fitted with the original Air Chief radio plus a CD player, speaker box on rear shelf with no holes cut into the parcel shelf. The current owner has serviced the radiator, replaced the front tyres at 79,122 miles, fitted a new brake master cylinder & booster, replaced the wheel cylinders and installed new front brake lines & brake lining at 79,122 miles. Invoices supplied for these works.
