Stunning no expense restored XY GT in Nugget Gold / Black trim with matching numbers 351 D block 4V Cleveland engine, 4 speed Top Loader gearbox and 9" LSD. For sale from Brisbane, QLD.
This special XY GT has had a Concours quality external bare metal repaint in 2024. Particular attention was paid to ensure that the paint in the door jambs, boot and engine bay were finished in a matt factory finish. The original FORD 'OK' quality control stampings in the boot and in the engine bay have been reapplied and all panels are day one. The radiator support features the original FORD stamping of the VIN number and the shock tower displays the Chassis/engine number which matches perfectly to the original GT engine.
The GT has covered a genuine 121,916 miles from new and features a fully rebuilt original matching numbers 351 Cleveland running a blueprinted 750 Holley carby with Phase 3 Spacer, 4V closed chamber heads, Harland Sharp roller rockers, hardened push rods, shimmed valve springs and Phase 3 HM Headers combining to produce a dynoed 380Hp at the flywheel. The original heads and intake manifold are supplied with the GT.
In addition, the GT was treated to a full rebuild to the brakes, suspension, gearbox and the diff. Nothing has been left wanting and no monies have been spared to ensure this GT drives as good as she looks.
The interior of the GT is in excellent original condition throughout. The dash, crash pad, door cards and hoodlining are all original items and in excellent condition. All gauges and the factory optioned Superfringe radio are in perfect working condition. The carpet and door rubber have been replaced.
The GT comes with a full ICAARS Report which was completed prior to the restoration and was used to further improve on an already excellent original GT. The XY also comes with a Ford letter of Verification and also a Deluxe ACCHS Report. The GT is supplied with two sets of keys.
Riding on 5 x genuine 5 slot rims with new red walled Aquatread tyres, original tools and tool bag and a new rubber boot mat.
