Feast your eyes on this stunning super tough fully restored 1977 XC GS Falcon Hardtop running a 393 Cleveland Stroker, C-10 gearbox and 9" diff. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.
Well over $200,000 has been lavished on this GS Hardtop. A factory Brambles Red 302 V8 and 4 speed manual car, the current owner has undertaken a full bare metal restoration turning the Hardtop into a super comfortable and powerful custom cruiser. Painted in 2017 in 2 pack Yellow Glow with XB GS striping, every nut and bolt has been rebuilt on this car.
The car now runs a fully rebuilt 393 2V headed Cleveland V8 through to a C-10 T-bar auto and 9" diff. The 393 stroker Cleveland was recently fully rebuilt by Australian Engine Masters and dynoed at 458hp. It runs a 230/236 cam, Clevite bearings, Mellings oil pump, Holley fuel pump, 4bbl Brawler DP carby, roller rockers, Manley push rods, ICE ignition, a high capacity sump, PWR alloy radiator, Pacemaker extractors and a 2 1/2" mandrel bent stainless exhaust.
Gears are swapped via a John's Automatics 3 speed C-10 auto gearbox with 2800rpm stall and the XC is fitted with a 9" diff with 3.00:1 diff gears.
The factory Air Conditioning has been recommissioned to suit R134A and works perfectly and the car retains its factory power steering making cruising a pleasure.
A huge amount of effort has gone into reconditioning everything on this car to ensure that it is reliable and comfortable to cruise:
- The braking system has been fully reconditioned from the master to the pads.
- The transmission and diff have been rebuilt.
- The suspension has been lowered with King springs front and rear and Koni shocks.
- The instrument gauge cluster was removed and sent for overhaul.
- The gauges were rewound and a digital voltage regulator fitted.
- The radiator and all hoses were replaced and the car runs cool no matter the traffic or the temperature of the day.
- The undercarriage was painted and rails, doors and quarters were cavity waxed.
- The engine bay wiring was stripped and checked/repaired and reinsulated and the battery has been relocated to the boot.
A comprehensive documented receipt/photo file comes with the car outlining all works completed and the car is riding on new replica 15" Globe alloys with BF Goodrich 235/60R15 on the front and BF Goodrich 295/50R15s on the rear.
