Super low mileage FPV BF GT in unmarked Octane for sale. Located in Sydney NSW for your inspection.
Ford Performance Vehicles gave the BF GT model increased visual presence to differentiate the Boss 290 V8-powered GT Falcon and F6 270 Turbo-powered vehicles. New-look front bumpers on all models featured an aggressive race-inspired lip surrounding the larger lower air intake, replicated in a similar fashion surrounding a new-look opening in the rear bumpers and stylish new-design auxiliary driving lights up front.
To complement the new styling, all Boss 290-powered vehicles received 19-inch alloy wheels and a traditional muscle car-inspired twin exhaust system. Plus an optional side stripe and hood decal package.
But the biggest news in the BF GT was the FORD Performance Vehicles' inclusion of an advanced new automatic gearbox - the ZF 6HP26 six-speed automatic, the first local manufacturer to offer a six-speed automatic. At the time, a $1250 option across the FPV range, the ZF features multiple driving modes within its lower first and taller top (sixth) gear compared to the discontinued four-speed automatic found in the BA.
For FPVs application, the German ZF company fitted extra clutch plates in each clutch pack to up the torque capacity to 600Nm compared to regular BF Falcon's 500Nm maximum.
The BF's Boss 290 V8 delivers 290kW of power at 5500rpm and 520Nm of torque at 4500rpm and six-piston Brembo brakes front callipers of monoblock construction, while the GT-P added a four-piston rear calliper to its stoppers.
For sale is a spectacular example of the FPV BF GT Falcon in Octane with optional Black Leather trim, Sports steering wheel, Stripe package and floor matts.
