For sale is a super rare LX SS Torana Hatch in factory Tuxedo Black with Chamois trim. Ground up, nut and bolt restored by a father and son team, owners of a top end Sydney panel shop and passionate of all things Holden, this SS Torana is simply SUPERB! Faithfully restored and unmolested, built the way Holden intended, this Torana SS Hatch will suit a very fussy buyer looking for an exceptional example of one of Holden's favourite models.
A 4 year project, the Torana was rotisserie restored using original parts where possible. The Torana retains the original stainless and chrome repolished and all rubbers renewed. The Torana was repainted in 2 Pack Tuxedo Black and this is complimented by the SS Torana side stripes.
The engine bay has been meticulously restored to showroom condition with all correct parts and factory stampings. The SS runs the all matching numbers HR prefixed L32 4.2 litre V8 fully rebuilt to stock specifications. The car still retains its original 2 barrel Rochester carby, manifold, heads etc. The Trimatic gearbox and factory diff are also original to this car and have been fully reconditioned. The Tory is also fitted with extractors.
The interior was fully retrimmed in the factory Chamois by Cools Trim and presents in showroom condition. All the gauges work and the SS is fitted with a working factory GMH AM radio. Check the boot area. The trimmer has done a quality job in fine tuning the trimming and lift the boot carpet and the factory timber removeable boards are there with a spare and tools.
The Torana has been upgraded to a HQ stud pattern allowing the fitment of the CTM Muscle wheels or GTS rims that can be supplied if required. The car is riding on Nankang 205/50R15 on the front and 225/50R15 on the rear.
The Torana SS has covered 617 Kilometres driven since completion. This is a fully sorted super rare and desirable Torana that you will be proud to own and drive. Turn the key and enjoy.
