1969 ISUZU BELLETT GT Series "R"

This 1969 Isuzu Bellett GT series R was 1 of approximately 1400 manufactured, based on the GT coupe, these cars were highly modified during production, which saw an overhead twin cam motor fitted and connected to a close-ratio 4-speed gear box and a limited slip differential, along with the strengthened chassis bigger power-boosted disc brakes, full instruments, blacked out interior and high back seats. Further there was a larger fuel tank, heated rear glass and vented bonnet to name some of the special mods Performance has been listed as a top speed of 190kph, 0 400 in 16.5 sec with a fuel consumption of 17km/lt at 60 kph.

The car has undergone a full bare metal restoration with all rust removed. The motor was fully rebuilt using all genuine Isuzu parts, as was the gearbox. The differential was totally overhauled and found to be in very good condition. Brakes and lines were serviced and replaced where necessary.

A genuine Isuzu sport exhaust system was purchased in Japan and fitted along with a new high speed starter motor; An Isuzu sports front stabiliser was fitted. Nothing was spared on this restoration. Now due to a few health issues we have decided to offer this little beauty for sale. It can be viewed in Sydney by appointment, where all documentation can be sighted.
