This 1953 80 Land Rover Car 36660745 has just finished a meticulously restoration.
Built 16 December 1952 and dispatched to Australia on the 16th of December. This is a matching numbers car with original chassis , bulkhead and drive train. All bodywork is original to the car but has been professionally restored. The level of detail that has gone in to this restoration is immense and offers an excellent opportunity to acquire a vehicle with all the hard work done.
The engine #36102588 has been fully rebuilt back to standard with NOS pistons and rings with parts sourced from Cox and Turner UK. All new bearings along with a new Borg and Beck clutch were installed.
The gearbox was rebuilt with all new parts where required including new Synchros on 3rd and 4th gears.
The Chassis and Bulkhead are original to the car only requiring sand blasting and repainting.
The Steering column has been rebuilt and all new knuckles installed.
All galvanised parts have been re-galvanised. Cappings, hinges, windscreen etc
The radiator has been recorded but still has the original correct dated tanks.
The prop-shafts have been rebuilt.
All instruments were restored by Otto instruments (Brisbane)
Steering wheel is fully restored. (Myrtle UK)
