Description

Now for sale, a super desirable Australian delivered 1984 Mazda RX-7 Series 3. For sale from Perth, WA.

Back in 1983 if you were looking for a front engined sports car but you didn't have Porsche 944 money, the answer was the sexy Japanese built Mazda RX-7. Powered by a two-rotor version of Dr. Felix Wankel's rotary engine, the RX-7's 1.1-litre mill (designated 12A) produced 100 hp and 105 lb-ft of torque. That was enough to push its 2350 pounds to 60 mph in less than 10 seconds, acceptable for the day. The engine was extremely light and compact, allowing it to be mounted behind the front axle, which contributed to the 50/50 weight distribution. Moreover, the rotary engine was so uniquely smooth as it spun up, an electric buzzer was installed to warn drivers of blasting straight through the 7000-rpm redline.

Motor Trend magazine ran a comparison test of a RX-7, Nissan 280ZX, and Toyota Supra. They praised the RX-7 as the best-handing, best-steering, most fun-to-drive, and purest sports car of the group.

For sale is this immaculate last of the series 5 speed manual RX-7 in tu-tone silver and grey with cloth trim in totally original condition throughout. A three owner car, originally delivered through Mulcahy Motors, Ringwood, Victoria, the car has covered a genuine 108,750 Klms from new and comes with the original owners manual, warranty booklet, service history from Penfold Mazda, Burwood, first registration paper and dealer folder.

The interior of the RX-7 is also in near new unmarked condition with working air-conditioning, power windows, cruise control and original AM/FM cassette player with Graphic equaliser. The RX-7 also features electric mirrors and boot release, unused space saver spare, mint boot mat and factory tools. The car is also supplied with a fitted car bra.

Mechanically, the car drives and runs like a dream. Recently serviced and ready to enjoy.

Riding on factory alloys with brand new tyres.

One of the most successful models ever sold, the first generation RX-7 is now a sought-after collector car. With many RX-7 owners heavily modifying these cars over the years, it is rare to find such an unmolested and immaculate survivor.

Located in Perth, WA for your inspection. (Ref. 6057)

If you wish we will gladly arrange a video tour of the car using WhatsApp and of course there is no issue with door to door enclosed transport anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
