The 600 Grosser Mercedes Benz was produced between 1963 and 1981, designed by French designer Paul Bracq, holding the title of the most expensive car in the world in when launched. Just 2,190 short wheel base models of this timeless classic were built and it is believed that only 273 examples were produced in right hand drive. These ultra luxury vehicles were typically owned by celebrities, political leaders and royalty in the late 20th century.

The 600 saloon of over 3 tonne, is powered by the iconic M100 6.3 litre or 384.4 cubic inch V8 engine with Bosch multipoint manifold injection, capable of producing 247 bhp, designed specifically for the Grosser. The flagship model was extremely advanced for its era, equipped with features including pneumatic self-levelling suspension, hydraulic driven amenities including windows, seats, boot-lid and automatically closing doors in addition to the power-assisted brakes. The innovative adjustable air suspension provides a smooth ride in the comfort of the meticulously designed and opulent interior.

This Grosser (Grand) Mercedes now presenting in Ivory with contrasting dark green full leather interior, is in outstanding condition having received a comprehensive restoration, including bare metal re-spray transforming the colour from its original Dark Red (Paint code 542 G) completed by renowned Mercedes-Benz restorers Sleeping Beauties Restoration of Brisbane, QLD, between 2008 and 2015. Documentation of the restoration and following maintenance works show in excess of $400,000 spent since 2008, covering the last three owners.
