Description
1980 MG Midget 1500 Low mileage and Very Good Original condition.
Three Lady owners from new.
About 99,000 km (speedo is in miles).
No rust. Had Ziebart rust proofing treatment when new.
Paint is Inca Yellow with Black Interior. As can be seen in the photos, paint and upholstery are still in excellent condition.
Has a folding soft top (roof) that folds down under they vinyl cover behind the seats. Also comes with a Tonneau cover to cover the cockpit. Both are in excellent condition and hardly used (see photos).
Has been in current ownership for last 13 years, used for weekend drives on sunny days, only driven in rain once during this time.
Brand new tyres recently fitted.
100 km since fully serviced, oil and filter changed, brake fluid flush and bleed, in 2025
Radiator refurbished, coolant filter added + new thermostat and coolant (2025).
Clutch replaced and Gearbox rebuilt 2,500 km ago.
New sports exhaust system fitted 1,000 km ago.
Sony stereo head unit with bluetooth streaming and hands free calling plus MP3 USB player.
Narva QH H4 headlight upgrade.
This is a factory RHD from the last year of MG Midget production and a very rare car in Australia.
The MG Midget 1500 has a larger (1500 cc) engine than earlier Midgets plus twin SU carburettors, and the four speed manual transmission in this model came with syncro on all four gears.
Currently on non-transferable Club Registration, so will be sold unregistered and without a RWC.
