Regarding the Railton The year manufactured is 1935. Horse power 113 hp. Brakes work very well. Everything in that car has been reconditioned, Engine, Gearbox & diff. Tyres new. Leather seats were redone in leather. Received warrant a fortnight ago. All interior is original as per design. Milage 25 miles on clock. I do not know what milage it had done when I bought it some time ago the car was in poor condition, speedo did not work on purchase. Steering movement 50mm right and left The car goes very well as it should.
I have owned the car for over 50 years I bought it from Ken Oakinful in poor condition he ought it from John Bain in poor condition it was raced in the 1960s around Dunedin . As you can see i have done 25 miles it goes very well can cruise at modern car speed. I had it valued by Webbs at 70 to 65 thousand I will get another value from John Bain shortly it has a complete re build as you can see.
All work mechanical wise was done by Ian Jones of Fairlie who did his apprentice on Essex cars in the 1930 she has since passed on.
