Description
This immaculate vehicle is possibly the most sought after Shelby model with the 428 Cobra-Jet engine coupled to a 4-speed manual Hurst shift. This original LHD vehicle was imported in July 2011 and not altered from the original Shelby factory specs. Very likely one of maybe half a dozen in Australia, and in beautiful condition.
There's a Marti Report and a Ford letter of Authenticity confirming all the details. The original Sales documentation shows Gilboy Ford Mercury in Allentown, Pennsylvania, were the selling dealer in May 1969. The car was produced February 6th 1969, 4 days ahead of schedule.
There were substantial factory options fitted:
The current owner had a RWC in Sept 2020 when it was registered on Club Plates at 85,909km. (Club Reg. not transferrable). It's travelled 600km since then. There's a lot of historical documentation of the car's US owners and subsequently, it's Australian history since being imported in July 2011, with Import papers and original Brisbane Safety Certificate dated 22/9/2011. This car featured in Unique Cars magazine Oct '24.
I've owned this car for over 4 years but now, as a "Senior Citizen", have received "instructions" from the boss to "de-clutter" my factory and get rid of the " boys toys". Have sold the Pontiac Firebird and the Chrysler Crossfire. Boats have also been on the "hit list" with the third one sold this week. Other vehicles which will be moved on are a '69 Shelby GT350 Coupe (auto with air con) and a 2011 Shelby GT500 convertible (35,000km).
Please don't waste your time or mine with crazy inquiries or low-ball offers. This is a genuine car that is for sale at a realistic price and not priced in the stratosphere. If you're serious call me or email through TradeUC. NO Texts will be answered.
