V8 BRITISH TOURING ROADSTER
The Triumph Stag was introduced in 1970 and continued in production until 1977 by which time 25,939 had been produced. It was conceived as a British luxury 2+2 Sports Tourer, a Roadster with an optional removable hardtop. The initial design did not include the 'T Bar' roof, but this was deemed a necessary addition to meet the evermore drastic US vehicle safety regulations.
This well presented 1974 Australian delivered Triumph Stag is finished in metallic silver with black interior and importantly, now features Air Conditioning. The Stags snug hardtop provides you with saloon car comfort, and when removed, the Roadster provides you the joys of classic style open top motoring.
This Stag drives well with its uprated 3.5L V8 engine with extractors and Automatic transmission providing smooth power delivery. The ride quality is comfortable with the independent suspension front and rear and the steering is light by virtue of the power assisted rack and pinion steering. The braking system has been improved, now featuring a dual circuit, power boosted master cylinder, while the cooling system is now fitted with an electronic Thermo fan.
The Triumph Stag is one of the very few real 4-seater British sports cars, with other marques offering only token rear seating for children. Now is your opportunity to enjoy the V8 burble the Stag provides.
