Fast and Reliable – Dayco Doubles up for Australia’s Great Races

One of the world’s leading Original Equipment and Aftermarket manufacturers of engine belts, ancillary engine and thermal management components, Dayco, doubled up its efforts for success at one of the world’s most famous Touring Car races, the epic Bathurst 1000, held at Mount Panorama (NSW) on October 7, 2018.

While appearing on the rear wing of the Monster Energy Tickford Racing Falcon Supercar driven throughout the 2018 season by Cam Waters, the striking black and white Dayco brand logo was also visible on the rear wing of 2013 Bathurst 1000 winner Mark Winterbottom’s Bottle-O Tickford Racing Falcon Supercar at the Great Race this year.

Cam Waters was joined behind the wheel by Dayco Ambassador David Russell, who makes his debut with Tickford Racing at this year’s Pirtek Season of Endurance races, that include the Sandown 500 in September along with the Bathurst 1000 and Gold Coast 600 double points earning races in October.

Winterbottom, the 2015 Supercars Champion, was joined by highly experienced racer Dean Canto at all three of the Supercars Season of Endurance races this year. With all three of the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Season of Endurance races broadcast via free to air networks across Australia and the world in addition to the outstanding local Fox Sports coverage, each of these races will reach huge local and global markets. The jewel in the crown being the gruelling six and a half hour, 161 lap test of man and machine at Bathurst’s Mount Panorama from October 4 to 7.

The additional Dayco signage will also appear on the two Tickford Racing Falcon Supercars at the Gold Coast 600 and also appeared at the Sandown 500 in September. These are the three two driver races that “Dayco Dave” Russell competed with this championship and Bathurst winning blue oval team.

According to Arnold Mouw, Dayco Vice President – Aftermarket Asia Pacific, “The increased exposure for Dayco across the Bathurst weekend and all three Supercars Season of Endurance events makes sense as these races enjoy such a strong following amongst fans and enthusiasts within the automotive industry not only in Australia but all over the Asia Pacific region and the world.

“We are delighted to extend our Tickford Racing association with Dayco signage on Mark Winterbottom’s car at the endurance races and we are excited to see Dayco ambassador Dave Russell back in Supercar action, marking a decade of his appearances as a fast and reliable Supercar co-driver this year. Together with Cam Waters, they make a formidable Supercar pairing.”
