Football legend and well-known media personality, Dermott Brereton is set to return in 2025 to compere the collision repair industry’s night of nights.

Leading the fun and celebration at the National Collision Repairer’s gala evening, will be master of ceremonies, Dermott ‘Dermie’ Brereton.
With his own background in collision repair and stories to tell about his own Melbourne bodyshop, Dermie promises to be another great attraction for the special awards nigh held in Melbourne’s Sports and Events precinct.
After a decade at the peak of Australian Rules Football, playing for Hawthorn where he kicked 427 goals, then went onto one of the highest profile careers in the sports media in the country, first at the Nine Network and now with Fox Footy.
Great career
Dermott’s playing career saw him play 211 games for Hawthorn, later playing at Collingwood and Sydney, kicking 464 goals in total over his professional career.
Dermott, an icon of the game, is widely regarded as one of the best centre half forwards of all time.
After retiring in 1995, Dermott took on the role as coach of the Australian team for the International Rules Series against Ireland for 2 years.
Since then his media career has kept him in the spotlight whether it was on Nine’s Getaway or as a regular feature on SEN radio.
The gala night will be held on the eve of the industry’s biggest expo on May 7 and will be celebrated with a Gala Night on April 10 at Showtime Events, Melbourne,
The Lifetime Achievement Award is one of the industry’s most prestigious awards and celebrates those involved in the sector for more than 20 years who have made outstanding contributions to the wider industry.
