FOTON has officially landed in Australia’s fiercely competitive ute market with the launch of the all-new TUNLAND range — a bold step that positions the brand squarely among Australia’s most in-demand vehicle segment.
Sitting between traditional dual-cab utes and larger full-sized pickups, the TUNLAND occupies what FOTON calls the ‘Goldilocks zone’ – not too small, not too big, but just right for Australian drivers seeking capability, comfort, and value.

“The all-new TUNLAND is the goldilocks of utes – not too big, not too small, but just right for Australian drivers,” FOTON Australia General Manager Glen Cooper said.
“It blends the durability of FOTON’s global truck-building heritage with the refinement, space, and technology today’s customers expect.
“We’re excited to introduce a new generation of FOTON utes to Australia and establish a strong foundation for the brand’s future here.”
Power package
The new line-up comprises two models, the V7 and V9, both powered by a 2.0-litre Aucan turbo-diesel engine matched to a 48V mild-hybrid system and ZF 8-speed automatic transmission.
Together, they deliver up to 120kW of power¹ and 450Nm of torque – providing a smooth yet muscular driving experience with the strength to tow up to 3,500kg² and carry payloads of up to 1,115kg, depending on variant.

With pricing starting at $39,990³ (MLP) for the V7-C 4×2, the TUNLAND range offers an appealing alternative for Australian ute buyers. It combines commercial-grade toughness with refinement and everyday usability – a value-packed choice tailored for both trades and lifestyle drivers.

The line-up consists of two distinct types, each available in two grades:
- V7-C (4×2) and V7-C (4×4): Built for work-ready durability, this model targets fleets and trades. With a payload exceeding 1,000kg and robust practicality, it’s designed to thrive in demanding commercial environments.
- V9-L and V9-S (both 4×4): Geared toward lifestyle versatility, the V9 adds multi-link rear suspension, enhanced comfort, and advanced technology features, catering to those who want a ute equally at home on the worksite or the weekend getaway.
Visually, the TUNLAND makes a strong impression. Both models share a commanding stance, yet each expresses a distinct personality. The V7 wears a tough, squared-off grille with horizontal bars, reinforcing its workhorse appeal.
The V9, on the other hand, introduces a more sculpted hexagonal grille and refined detailing, projecting a premium, lifestyle-oriented look.

Inside, every TUNLAND features a spacious, modern cabin anchored by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch infotainment display.
Spacey
Key physical controls remain for essential functions, ensuring intuitive operation, while generous cabin dimensions and thoughtful insulation deliver comfort and quiet on the road.
Safety is front and centre across the range, with advanced driver assistance systems including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), and Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) as standard.
The all-new FOTON TUNLAND range is now available for test drives and purchase at FOTON LCV Retailers nationwide. Customers can visit https://www.fotonaustralia.com.au/find-a-dealer to locate their nearest Retailer.
