Hot Devil 3-in-1 Blow Torch and Soldering Iron With Rotating Head

For tradies like auto electrician Adam Cummings, owner of ‘On the Road Auto’, his days are filled with soldering and heat-shrinking wires and cables on customer’s fit-out vans. So, when we brought down Hot Devil’s new 3 in 1 Blow Torch and Soldering Iron, Adam could see the value and advantage of using this versatile product from the get-go.

Hot Devil’s new ‘3 in 1 Blow Torch H and Soldering Iron’ is another innovative product designed for multi-faceted use, with its adjustable head with eight different angles across a 90-degree range – making it the perfect-sized tool to be able to position in tight areas around engine bays and battery compartments. It’s also quick and easy to fill with Hot Devil’s quality Butane Gas refill cylinder.

Ignition of the torch couldn’t be easier or safer with a single red switch and trigger squeeze to get things fired up. This dual process stops accidental ignitions. To extinguish the flame, simply release the same red ignition switch. A solid stand
(and removable) foot at the base of the torch allows for stable and secure use of the torch on tables and work benches, allowing you to hold and position your work around the self-standing torch.

To use the torch as a soldering iron, simply unscrew the torch head (when cool) and insert the soldering tip. Repeating the same process to ignite the soldering iron will have you working on your detailed soldering jobs and electrical work.

TEST #1 – SOLDERING IRON EASE OF USE
The safety function on the ignition trigger is well-positioned and will do a great job of stopping accidental ignitions and wasted gas. The actual process of the ignition was easy and fast.

Adam shared, “This van is typical of the types of fit-outs I can do on vans. Today we have soldered lighting cables, USB cables and heavier-duty battery connections. The soldering iron heated up quickly and reached a perfect temperature (400°C) for these connections.

The adjustable head and removable base allowed me to comfortably hold the tool in my hand to position the torch in the perfect position or stand the tool on the bench or floor, without fear of it falling over and burning someone’s new carpet or floor. The heat is also perfect with the side adjustment for various-sized wires and cables.”

TEST #2 – THE BLOW TORCH IN ACTION

The 1300°C burn temp on the torch makes it perfect for a wide range of uses from plastic and metal tubing, heat shrinking, loosening nuts and bolts to electrical and plumbing work. Adam was working on a van with about half a dozen wires that needed to be heat shrunk after his soldering was complete.

Watching him work with speed and precision, you can see how vital this tool is for someone in his profession. “Being a mobile business, having fewer tools to carry around daily is important, so having a versatile and flexible product like this is awesome. It holds plenty of gas and the blow torch has impressive temperatures for all my work needs. But I can also see this being perfect for getting the fire pit at home or the campfire going on the weekends.”

THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
It’s the fast set-up speed and flexible use that’s going to make this 3 in 1 torch from Hot Devil such a winner for many trades. You will get plenty of burn time, and the Hot Devil butane canister’s refilling process is easy and quick. Turning the torch upside down to reveal the underside of the base, you will find the refill nozzle. By pushing the refill canister down onto this nozzle several times, you will be filled up and ready for action in no time at all.
