Green, who co-founded the global boxing and fitness franchise UBX, has implemented the government-backed Cyber Wardens online course across his rapidly expanding business. As a respected figure in both sports and business, Green aims to leverage his profile to raise awareness among small businesses about the importance of maintaining a secure online environment.
“In boxing, staying one step ahead of your opponent is crucial,” Green explained. “The same applies to protecting your business and customers. I’m proud to be part of this initiative to help small businesses stay secure in the digital world.”
Green is featured in a series of videos and promotional materials that draw parallels between the physical defences in boxing and the digital defences needed in business. These resources offer practical advice and strategies for small business owners to enhance their cybersecurity.
Connected and protected
By incorporating cyber security training through the Cyber Wardens program, UBX is setting a standard for protecting its franchisees, members, and technological infrastructure—a benchmark that other fitness franchises worldwide can follow.
Tim West, UBX co-founder and Managing Director, emphasised the critical importance of digital security in today’s business landscape.
“The Cyber Wardens program is a great initiative for small business owners like the franchisees of UBX,” West said. “It provides them with a simple, easy to understand resource to better safeguard their businesses in an increasingly digital world. By integrating this cybersecurity training into their operations, our franchisees are not only protecting themselves from cyber threats, but also ensuring the privacy and trust of our members.”
COSBOA CEO Luke Achterstraat expressed his enthusiasm for having Danny Green and UBX involved in the campaign. “Danny and UBX’s commitment to cyber security sets a powerful example for small businesses everywhere,” he said.
Cyber Wardens is an initiative by COSBOA aimed at empowering small business owners and their teams with the knowledge and tools to protect themselves from cyber threats. The Australian government-funded program offers a free, straightforward, and effective online course designed to help small businesses enhance their cyber safety capabilities.
