Isuzu UTE Australia renews partnership with RFDS

Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA) has renewed its Major National Partnership with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), extending a collaboration that began in 2023.

The partnership has supported improved healthcare delivery in some of Australia’s most remote regions through financial backing and the provision of a fleet of Isuzu D-MAX and Isuzu MU-X vehicles.

Continuing a partnership with impact

IUA Managing Director Junta Matsui said the renewal reflects the tangible outcomes already achieved.

“This partnership has already made a genuine difference, and IUA is proud to continue working alongside the RFDS as it delivers essential services to those in regional, rural and remote communities,” he said.

“Giving back to the communities that support us is important to IUA, and extending this partnership allows us to continue recognising the RFDS for its tireless service through ongoing support of its mission, education and community engagement initiatives.”

RFDS Federation Chief Executive Officer Emma Buchanan said the agreement reinforces the shared purpose between the two organisations.

“Isuzu UTE Australia’s ongoing support has been instrumental in helping us deliver on our mission, and this contract renewal reinforces the trust and shared purpose between our organisations,” she said.

“This is much more than a sponsorship, it’s a strategic relationship built on collaboration, mutual respect, and a collective commitment to creating a positive impact across the rural and remote communities in which we operate and serve.

“The contract renewal ensures this important work can continue and provides a strong foundation for future potential joint initiatives.”

Supporting education and outreach nationwide

Isuzu D-MAX and MU-X vehicles play a key role in the RFDS’s community engagement programs, towing state-of-the-art training simulators across the country for the Flying Doctor Education Program and supporting a range of national events.

The RFDS is a national charitable health organisation delivering primary healthcare and 24-hour emergency services to people living and travelling in rural and remote Australia.

In addition to aeromedical retrieval, the service provides dental and mental health programs in communities nationwide.

Operating 89 aircraft — making it the third-largest fleet in Australia — along with 279 road vehicles across 23 bases, the RFDS delivers critical care to some of the country’s most isolated regions.

The renewed partnership ensures that essential outreach, education and emergency services will continue to be supported both on the ground and in the air.
