JB Weld Workshop Emergencies

It’s highly unusual to find a workshop that has not used JB Weld products – a mainstay of the industry for their high quality.

What is so convenient for workshops is that most JB Weld products come in small packages that don’t take up valuable real estate on workshop shelves, but they can get you out of trouble when an unexpected problem is found.

As an example, JB Tank Weld is a repair kit for permanent repairs to gas tanks, metal tanks, oil pans and more. It was developed as an easy alternative to torch welding and is effective even in harsh environments and once set it is as strong as a metal repair.

Unlike welding, there is no need to remove the tank and Tank Weld can fix holes up to 3.8” diameter or cracks up to 10cm long, it is petroleum resistant.

Another example is JB Weld Steel Stik, a steel-reinforced, non-rusting epoxy putty that repairs or rebuilds anything made of metal. After mixing, it forms an industrial-strength polymer compound that can be shaped or used to build up, patch or repair steel components.

SteelStik sets in five minutes and after 60 minutes, can be drilled, tapped, machined, ground, filed and painted. It is rated at a tensile strength of 900 PSI and will withstand temperatures up to 148°C.
