Mazda goes all-in with 2025 BT-50 ute

The bold new Mazda BT-50 is fully prepared to tackle Australia’s toughest conditions as it joins the brand’s diverse 2025 model range.

The bold new BT-50 is built for those who demand reliability and style in equal measure. The BT-50’s exterior continues to embody Mazda’s signature ‘Kodo – soul of motion’ design, focusing on ruggedness that promises adventure from every angle.

A tough presence is signified by a newly designed front bumper, a revamped radiator grille, and unique LED headlamps. At the rear, a new easy-down tailgate integrates a mountain-inspired ridged design, complemented by new LED tail lamps and a larger Mazda logo. Inside, the rugged nature of the updated BT-50 flows with an enhanced infotainment system, putting vehicle controls at occupants’ fingertips.

The BT-50 lineup is powered primarily by a reliable 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel four-cylinder engine, offering 140kW of power and 450Nm of torque. An entry-grade XS 4×2 model will also feature a 1.9-litre in-line four-cylinder diesel engine producing 110kW of power and 350Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The new BT-50 is available in single-cab, freestyle-cab, and dual-cab variants across five generously equipped model grades: XS, XT, XTR, GT, and SP.

The entry-grade BT-50 XS includes features like Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (i-ACC), an 8.0-inch full-color touchscreen display, and essential safety systems, while the higher trims add enhancements like alloy wheels and advanced lighting. With these comprehensive upgrades, the Mazda BT-50 is primed to make a significant impact in the Australian market.

Pricing for the BT-50 ranges between $36,400 and $71,500.
