MG Motor Australia has officially launched its highly anticipated MGU9 ute, designed and tested specifically for the competitive Australian ute market.
This robust vehicle combines the strength of a ute with the refinement of a modern SUV, offering innovative features that set it apart from the competition.

The MGU9 boasts a 3.5-tonne towing capacity, a spacious and modern interior with MultiFold seats, and MG Smart Hatch cabin-to-tub access.
Kevin Gannon, MG Motor Business Director, emphasised the cultural significance of the ute, stating that the MGU9 is designed to cater to the needs of various customers.

Three variants
The vehicle features a 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine, a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, and an advanced BorgWarner 4WD system.
The MGU9 has been awarded a five-star ANCAP safety rating and comes with a range of premium features, including a built-in driver’s seat ventilation and massage function, heated seats, and immersive dual infotainment screens.
The vehicle’s rear multi-link independent suspension provides enhanced ride comfort and handling, making it suitable for both urban and off-road driving.
The MGU9 is available in three variants: Explore ($52,990 AUD Drive Away), Explore X ($55,990 AUD Drive Away), and Explore Pro ($60,990 AUD Drive Away).
