NAPA, The New Name In Automotive Aftermarket

NAPA Auto Parts is the new name in automotive aftermarket parts for Trade, Industrial and Mining specialists in Australia and New Zealand, to be added to the GPC Asia Pacific stable.

The internationally recognised name is the latest brand to be added to the GPC Asia Pacific stable, and will be the face of the specialist automotive parts business.

GPC Asia Pacific is best known with brands like Ashdown-Ingram and Repco, with Ashdown-Ingram and other trade and specialist businesses transitioning to NAPA Auto Parts.

Standing alongside Repco, NAPA Auto Parts will leverage the extraordinary heritage held by Ashdown-Ingram, Appco, Autostop, Covs, Global Auto Spares, R&E Auto Parts and Sulco to become the most comprehensive aftermarkets part distributor in Australia and New Zealand.

NAPA Auto Parts is already the world’s largest supplier of automotive parts and accessories, operating 57 distribution centres and 6,000 Auto Parts stores throughout America. There are currently 13 NAPA Auto Parts locations in Australia – WA (8), QLD (4) and NSW (1) – with the first New Zealand NAPA Auto Parts expected later this year. Over the coming years, there is expected to be a further 120 NAPA Auto Parts locations.

Celebrating Success

Having launched at the 2019 Australian Automotive Aftermarket Expo and been operating in Australia since April 2019, NAPA Auto Parts teams joined Ashdown-Ingram, Covs, Global Auto Spares and R&E Auto Parts in celebrating success through 2019 at their recent Branch Manager’s Conference.

The conference was the first time all businesses were able to come together as one under the NAPA brand to learn more about the future of the business and recognise the achievements and significant growth of 2019.

It was here the team celebrated Western Australia as Region of the Year Ashdown-Ingram Sunshine West as Branch of the Year, various Sales and Safety achievements and inducted another longstanding team member into the Hall of Fame.
