The first shipment of MY25 Polestar 2 variants has arrived in Australia, featuring more standard equipment and new pricing below the Luxury Car Tax (LCT) threshold.
The updated MY25 Polestar 2 introduces new standard features, exterior colours, wheel designs, and interior enhancements. As part of the 2025 model year update, all Polestar 2 variants will be available below the LCT threshold. The range now starts at $62,400* for the Standard range Single motor variant, with the flagship Long range Dual motor with Performance Pack priced from $80,380*.

Polestar Australia’s Scott Maynard highlighted the significance of this launch for the Swedish electric performance car brand in Australia.
“We are excited to welcome the 2025 Polestar 2 fastback to Australia and are thrilled that we can now meet customer demand for the incoming model,” he said.
Maynard also noted that the arrival of the Polestar 2 is crucial as the brand transitions from a one-car to a three-car lineup in Australia. This growth is underscored by the upcoming opening of Polestar’s new flagship Sydney North Space on September 12.

Polestar will soon begin offering test drives and customer handovers for the Polestar 3, marking the brand’s entry into the competitive SUV segment in Australia.
Pricing for the new Polestar 4 SUV Coupé has also been adjusted to launch below the LCT threshold when it arrives in November. The Polestar 4 Long range Single motor will start at $78,500*, while the Long range Dual motor is priced from $88,350*.
Maynard emphasised that this pricing realignment is a key strategy to boost electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Australia and to ensure Polestar remains a top choice for EV buyers.
“Polestar Australia now has six variants under the Luxury Car Tax threshold, more than we have ever had before, which is great news for Australian consumers,” he said.
