New Honda Civic coming to Australia, with more hybrid options

Honda has confirmed the refreshed Honda Civic for the Australia market, now featuring an expanded hybrid lineup with the introduction of two new hybrid grades.

This move strengthens Honda’s hybrid offerings, with the Civic now becoming the brand’s second model in Australia to feature a 100 per cent hybrid lineup. Both hybrid grades, the e:HEV L and the top-tier e:HEV LX, incorporate Honda’s advanced e two-motor hybrid powertrain, combining efficiency with dynamic performance.

The refreshed Civic lineup comes with premium features as standard, including Honda Connect D64 with Google built-in™ technology. This system enables users to access Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play Store directly from their vehicle, elevating the connected driving experience. Both hybrid grades also feature enhancements to exterior styling, with a refined front bumper, grille, and aerodynamic improvements that enhance the Civic’s sleek, sporty appeal.

“The iconic Honda Civic has built a strong customer following over the last 50 years in the Australian market,” said Carolyn McMahon, Vice President and Director of Honda Australia. “Adding a new hybrid grade to the Civic family reinforces our commitment to electrification.”

Safety remains a top priority with the refreshed Civic, which includes Honda SENSING—a suite of active safety features designed to provide drivers with added confidence on the road. Additionally, Honda has introduced new colour options for the refreshed model: Seabed Blue and Sonic Grey, the latter exclusive to the e:HEV LX.

The new hybrid lineup is backed by Honda’s Road Ahead Guarantee, which includes a 5-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty, five low-price scheduled services at $199 each, and 5-year premium roadside assistance. This guarantee underscores Honda’s commitment to delivering value, performance, and peace of mind to its customers in Australia.
