New NAPA Auto Parts Branch

NAPA Auto Parts Coopers Plains recently opened its doors to automotive specialists in South East Queensland. Not only is it the 20th NAPA Auto Parts branch in Australia, it’s also the largest in the Southern hemisphere.

Coopers Plains, an industrial hub in Southeast Queensland, is now the home of a 2,600m³ specialist parts destination, supporting automotive electrical, thermal and mechanical technicians with one of the country’s widest range of automotive aftermarket products.

NAPA General Manager, Scott MacDonald, is excited about the expansion of the brand and its potential in Australia.

“NAPA Auto Parts hasn’t popped up overnight; it’s a business with over 90 years’ experience in Australia. The name might be new but the team has been around and knows how to look after a customer and build business“, he said.

The Coopers Plains store is the amalgamation of multiple existing businesses in the area, including Ashdown-Ingram Archerfield and Ipswich, as well as NAPA’s new branch in Cooper Plains K&M Automotive Services. This combination puts NAPA Auto Parts Coopers Plains in a prime position, with a strong existing knowledge base in automotive electrical, thermal and mechanical.

“Merging two strong teams like those at Ashdown-Ingram Archerfield and Ipswich means a very hungry sales team ready to find and build new opportunities. I can’t wait to see what the Coopers Plains team can do for the region now,” said Mr MacDonald.

NAPA Auto Parts proudly stands behind its promise of providing a market leading product range, Know How and everyday value, which is driven through a strong emphasis on customer service.

SEQ Regional Manager Dennis McKay is now responsible for three NAPA Auto Parts locations and knows exactly what it takes to build trust and relationships with local workshops to help them be more efficient.

“There are a lot of opportunities to improve service for local and national automotive repairers,” he said.

“The Coopers Plains team has a diverse range of knowledge, experience with customers all over Southeast Queensland and success with businesses in different automotive industries. With tools like NAPA PROLink and state-based distribution centres, I’m keen to see what they can do to build business and our reputation for reliable products and service.”

The comprehensive range includes automotive electrical, thermal and mechanical aftermarket parts to suit trade, industrial and mining specialists including electrical accessories, braking, under-bonnet, under-car and workshop products and equipment. This range will continue to expand with new brands and products from world renowned brand leaders becoming available.

If customers are unable to make it instore, they can order products using NAPA PROLink, an industry award winning online ordering platform and product catalogue with a search function powered by a national vehicle registration database.

As the 7th Queensland location opened – joining Emerald, Mackay, Rockhampton, Slacks Creek, Townsville and Toowoomba – NAPA Auto Parts is quickly being considered as the aftermarket parts location in North and South East Queensland. NAPA Auto Parts launched in Australia in April 2019 and now has locations in Western Australia, Victoria, ACT, NSW, Tasmania and Queensland, with more branches expected to pop up in more states this year. The plan is to have more than 125 locations across Australia and New Zealand in the coming years with a rigorous roll out schedule underway.
