Newly Developed X-431 Euro TAB III

Launch Tech adds high-end X-431 Euro Tab III to evolving product portfolio.

Launch Tech Australia continues to expand its portfolio of high-tech automotive workshop products, with the diagnostic scan tools and garage equipment specialist bringing the X-431 Euro Tab III high-end car fault diagnostic scan tool, incorporating the Android 9.0 operating system, to the local market.

The newly developed Euro Tab III handset slots smoothly into Launch Tech’s product ecosystem, with it effectively building on its well-established, powerful diagnostic technology, providing both broad passenger and heavy-duty (optional) vehicle coverage and numerous special functions.

It also notably comes with the Smartlink C VCI, which attaches to the vehicle’s OBD port and connects to the Euro Tab III wirelessly via Wi-Fi, paving the way for enhanced communication and a number of advanced functions.

X-431 EURO TAB III DESIGN AND FEATURES

The Euro Tab III measures in at 353 x 236 x 71 mm and sports a large 13.3 inch IPS touchscreen display (1,920 x 1,080 resolution), while under the hood it is equipped with a 2 GHz octa-core CPU, 8 GB of memory, 256 GB of storage and a high-capacity battery which harnesses quick-charge technology.

Launch Tech advises that the Euro Tab III – which has a newly designed Launch APK for smooth and powerful operation – is capable of performing high-speed tasks, supported by its storage capacity and wireless connection to the Smartlink C.

In addition to its dual-band 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, the Euro Tab III also supports USB-C, USB-A and HDMI connections, while its rear-facing 13 MP and front-facing 8 MP cameras can be used to take pictures of defects, which can in turn be emailed directly to customers.

With the Launch CarSet database (powered by HaynesPro) fully integrated into the Euro Tab III’s diagnostic software, this takes the user directly from the DTC to a step-by-step testing routine, leading to the fault code solution.

Euro Tab III features include:
  • Launch Super Remote Diagnosis
  • Intelligent diagnostics for 100-plus car brands (with coverage now including McLaren)
  • Topology mapping provides visual checking on DTCs and all systems’ communication status
  • Supports the CAN, CAN FD, DoIP, J2534, D-PDU and RP1210 automotive communication protocols and standards
  • Optional ADAS calibration function
  • Advanced coding and programming function
  • Extended solution to support TPMS servicing
  • A total of 33 service and reset functions, from ABS bleeding, to immobiliser reset and window calibration

Decked out for durability, the Euro Tab III handset is IP65 waterproof and dustproof, and is protected by a high-impact silicone rubber housing with corner reinforcements, featuring a carry handle, palm brace and a multi-position rear stand.
