REDARC Wiring Kits

REDARC adds new Tow-Pro Wiring Kits to its range and gets you covered with what you need to install Australia’s best brake controllers.

REDARC has added four new Tow-Pro wiring kit options to its existing range, which now rounds up a total of 11 wiring kits suitable for 16 vehicles.

The new Tow-Pro wiring kits suit:

  • Toyota Landcruiser (TPWKIT-005)
  • Toyota Kluger & Prado (TPWKIT-007)
  • Volkswagen Amarok (TPWKIT-010)
  • And a Universal model (TPWKIT-011)

Earlier last year REDARC released seven wiring kits suitable for 10 vehicles. These REDARC wiring kits are compatible with the Ford Ranger (PXI, PXII) and Everest, Holden Colorado, Mitsubishi Triton and Pajero, Toyota Hilux and Fortuna, Isuzu (D-Max and MU-X), and Nissan Navara. The wiring kits provide ‘Plug and Play’ style connectivity, ensuring each vehicle specific wiring kit will allow for quick and convenient installation of the REDARC Tow-Pro brake controller unit. Each kit comes with the complete range of hardware required to install a Tow-Pro electric trailer brake controller and contains the electric brake harness, circuit protection, mounting bracket, vehicle matching switch fascia (where suitable) fasteners and fitting instructions also included as standard.

Due to the popularity of the Tow-Pro range, REDARC has released these custom wiring kit solutions to the aftermarket to meet industry demands and ensure the installation interfaces appropriately with the vehicle and meets quality standards.

“Originally, we were only planning to release nine kits for 14 popular 4WD vehicles, but we were frequently having customers ask when certain wiring kits would be released for particular vehicles”, says National Sales and Marketing Manager, Ben Marsh. “So, it’s really encouraging to hear from our customers that they want these wiring kits and specifically for the vehicle’s they are installing the Tow-Pro in.”

In developing these kits, REDARC goes through a thorough and exhaustive design process to ensure each kit meets design standards, whilst carrying out extensive testing of the installation of the kits so it does not impact any of the vehicle’s electrical systems. Coupled with the understanding of their customer’s needs, REDARC also ensure the install is suitably carried-out to minimise any potential wear or damage in its use.

“The wiring kits have all the parts and fitting instructions included to match that vehicle, ensuring the install is carried out correctly even if the installer is not familiar with that vehicle”, said Ben Marsh.

“REDARC are developing more kits in the future, but the Universal kit provides all the parts and wiring flexibility to fit most installations for vehicles that are not yet custom-supplied with a specific kit.”

The Tow-Pro range has become one of the most popular electric brake controllers for anyone towing a trailer, camper trailer, boat trailer and more. The Tow-Pro Elite especially has been recognised and nominated for several awards since its release, due to its slim, compact design and its unique patented ability to switch between two braking modes; Proportional and User-Controlled.

In 2016, it was named a Global Media Award winner at the SEMA show, Las Vegas, and won an Innovation Award at the Caravan and Camping Industries Association of South Australia that same year.
