Ray Peruzzi, owner of RPM Repairs, explains the benefits of using FUCHS’ new TITAN GT1 FLEX 23 SAE 5W-30.
Can You Tell ACM The History Of Your Business?
“I started in business in 1990 in a 2-bay workshop at a petrol station. I then moved to another workshop at a petrol station and also took over the fuel sales and shop.
After a few years I outgrew the workshop and decided to move into a shed and concentrate on mechanical repairs and servicing.
Soon after, I had to employ staff to get through all of the work. We now have six employees.
In 2014, I purchased a 2000 square metre shed – half is used as workshop and the other half is undercover parking for customer vehicles. In the workshop we have eight hoists and a wheel aligner, as well as a wash bay.”
What Vehicles And Equipment Does Your Workshop Specialise In?
“RPM Repairs works on any light vehicle from vintage to current cars, commercial vehicle and many makes of European vehicles.”
Were you using any other products before switching to Fuchs?
“Yes, we were using a well-known brand of oil and lubricants in the workshop until we changed to Fuchs. We didn’t really have any issues with the other brand but now realise the difference Fuchs has made.
I am always looking to improve the workshop and services we provide to stand out from the rest and Fuchs gave us the chance to offer a great lubricant program.”
What Made TITAN GT1 FLEX 23 SAE 5W-30 Stand Out?
“At any one time, we would have up to 10 or 12 different types of engine oils in stock to cover all the vehicles being serviced.
We now have three 205 litre drums of engine oils which cover most of the vehicles being serviced and a couple of 20 litre drums of different oils. This has made a big difference to our stock value and profit.”
What have you been able to achieve since using TITAN GT1 FLEX 23 SAE 5W-30? “TITAN GT1 FLEX 23 SAE 5W-30 oil has been a revelation. It has replaced about 4 or 5 engine oils at least. This saves us time and money because our 3 drums are pumped to digital measuring guns at the hoists.”
What Are Some Of The Best Parts Of Working With Fuchs?
“We have peace of mind knowing that Fuchs has Manufacturer Approvals rather than having recommendations by the oil company. We service many types of vehicles and only use quality parts and lubricants. This ensures reliability and trouble-free motoring for our customers.”
Do You Recommend Fuchs For Other Businesses And, If So, What’s The Main Reason?
“We are very happy with our change to Fuchs and we would definitely recommend Fuchs and TITAN GT1 FLEX 23 SAE 5W-30 to anyone who is looking for an oil to stock their workshop.”
