Trouble Free Performance

PENTOSIN specialty fluids go mainstream with FUCHS LUBRICANTS.

Anyone within the auto industry would have most likely encountered the PENTOSIN brandand its great products at some stage. PENTOSIN is a world renowned supplier of specialty fluids favoured by many of the European OEMs, and their products appear in applications that require the highest possible performance and quality standards. The PENTOSIN range of specialty fluids services many different areas of the vehicle, such as the central hydraulics systems of PSA (Peugeot and Citroën), roof actuation modules of most convertibles, hydraulic and electro‐hydraulic power steering, through to the gearbox lubricant and/ or actuation fluid for high performance manual and double clutch transmissions – DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox).

It is often unappreciated how specialised these applications are, and the exacting need to use the correct fluid to ensure trouble free performance and ensure the overall system life. For example, the central hydraulic systems in the PSA vehicles can be operating critical functions such as brakes, suspension and power steering all utilising the one fluid, therefore an error or compromise in the fluid may have tragic results.

Likewise DSG transmissions are highly sensitive to both the quality and condition of the fluids used, and as such an error or compromise in the fluid used may result in poorly functioning shift control and/ or clutch packs which will generate major customer dissatisfaction, and in some cases could cause expensive damage to the operational circuits in the transmission itself.

FUCHS LUBRICANTS acquired PENTOSIN to ensure they offer the very best products in all market segments, and are able to fully support both the mainstream and specialty service requirements across the entire market.

Previously the PENTOSIN products may have been purchased directly from an OEM parts department, sourced directly from overseas or through a local specialty importer – but with the purchase of PENTOSIN, FUCHS LUBRICANTS are moving the range of products into the mainstream market resulting in these specialty products now being readily available via its local Australian and New Zealand distribution network.
