Racing inspired clutch upgrades for Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ.
Xtreme Clutch performance upgrades are designed for a wide variety of street and motorsport applications around the world. After developing one of the first performance clutch upgrades available to suit the Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ, Xtreme Clutch are now offering a 240mm racing inspired kit for these vehicles with even further improvements in torque capacity and performance.
Xtreme Clutch, which is a division of Australian Clutch Services, has developed a wide range of kits utilising their 240mm racing inspired pressure plate. “We have been utilising this style of pressure plate for several years for vehicles such as the Ford Focus RS and the Renault Megane RS,” explains Xtreme Clutch Mechanical Engineer, Stewart Furze. “This style of kit offers exceptional torque capacity and is designed to provide these significant performance gains in a lightweight package.”
The 240mm conversion kits are available with a sprung organic or sprung ceramic friction disc depending on the intended primary use of the vehicle. The sprung organic kit offers an impressive 600Nm torque capacity whilst the ceramic kit offers a 910Nm torque capacity.
“These kits are an ideal single plate upgrade solution for vehicles used in many different applications,” says Stewart. “The design offers excellent pedal feel and they are commonly used in highly modified street vehicles with the organic friction disc option.” The kits are available now and include a replacement thrust bearing, flywheel bolts, pressure plate bolts, pilot bearing and clutch alignment tool along with the heavy-duty pressure plate, performance chromoly flywheel and friction disc.
“We try to offer everything the installer may require with our kits,” explains Stewart. “This helps to ensure the best efficiency for the installer and also ensures all of the components that might need replacement whilst the transmission is out of the vehicle are available.”
