Supercars star Shane van Gisbergen claimed his first speedway win on the weekend. The 33-year-old has spent this summer gracing the speedway tracks of New Zealand, with his maiden win coming in his final race night at Palmerston North at the Western Springs Speedway.
“Woohoo! Got our first win 
last night! Great way to finish off the speedway season for me,” he said on Facebook.
The Kiwi raced for the United Truck Parts team. The Supercars season is not far away, with the first races slated to get underway in early February.
