Supercars star Mark Winterbottom is excited for the new Gen3 format for the sport, as he takes to the track in a new-look Camaro.
The 41-year-old will take to the tracks in his yellow DeWalt coated Chevrolet Camaro, with his first outing being the Thrifty Newcastle 500 next month. This will be the first time Gen3 cars will be raced, a prospect that has Frosty excited.

“Until we get on the track it’s a bit of an unknown which is exciting for us,” Winterbottom told Supercars.com.
“There’s no previous form, there’s no team that won the last race in that car, it’s a reset for everyone.
“Im really excited and I think experience will play a big part here when we roll out for Round 1.
“Ultimately you want a good looking car that’s getting good looking trophies so that’s the goal for me this year.
“It’s exciting to see it in the flesh but even more excited to hit the track with anger and put it where it belongs.”
The Team 18 driver is one of many eager to test out the Gen3 format, which has competitors use cars closer to their commercial counterparts to trim down on part and repair costs.
