CoolDrive Auto Parts supported some of the world’s top automotive apprentices as a supplier for the recent Global Skills Challenge.
This four-day event showcased 138 of the best young apprentices, trainees, and professionals from around the globe.
Organised by WorldSkills Australia, this international competition offered participants a chance to hone their skills in anticipation of the prestigious 47th WorldSkills International Competition, scheduled to take place in Lyon, France, this September.
Australia’s team – the Skillaroos – won 15 medals from the event and finished second overall.

“CoolDrive was incredibly proud to be a part of the recent Global Skills Challenge to support the world’s most talented young automotive apprentices and trainees, and to help facilitate an environment where they could display their capabilities and push the boundaries of their skills,” Cooldrive Auto Parts Executive Chairman John Blanchard said.
“These young apprentices and trainees are the future of our local automotive industry, and we wish them the very of best of luck for the WorldSkills Competition in France this September.”
The Global Skills Challenge took place in May across various TAFE locations in Melbourne, featuring representatives from 17 countries, including the USA, China, the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Japan, France, and Australia, competing in 29 different disciplines.
In the automotive technology category, CoolDrive contributed by providing essential tools and equipment for the competition.
